Temperatures rising quickly during the morning under strong August sunshine. Winds mostly light, but a little brisker near some coasts. Feeling very warm, locally hot across eastern areas. Maximum temperature 35 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Turning a fresher and cloudier from Friday with perhaps the odd shower by Saturday, and a spell of more organised rain arriving into the west late Sunday evening.

These will bring some rain in places, perhaps heavy at times. Temperatures will likely be near normal or slightly above. Later in the period, high pressure will probably have more of an influence with drier conditions developing for many.
