Bright spells with heavy showers moving in from the southwest. Showers move northeastwards leaving clearer spells later. Staying blustery but easing through the afternoon. Milder than of late. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Generally less cold into next week, with periods of heavy showers or longer spells of rain. Winds will strengthen at times, though there will also be some occasional brighter interludes.

A broadly southwesterly regime is most probable during this period, bringing changeable conditions and spells of wet weather, with some heavy rain in places. Strong winds are possible at times with temperatures mostly near normal. Some spells of more settled weather are possible between weather systems.
