Easter Monday will be dry and settled. There will be some cloud at times, especially in the west at first, with a generally sunnier afternoon unfolding. Fairly breezy, but mild. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Tuesday looks dry, bright and breezy with warm hazy sunshine in the east. Cloudier on Wednesday, with overnight rain introducing a colder day on Thursday with sunshine and blustery showers.

Changeable with Atlantic frontal systems moving across the UK at times. These will bring spells of unsettled weather, with showers or longer spells of rain and a risk of strong winds. The wettest conditions will probably be in the northwest of the UK, with a risk of snow on high ground in the north. Drier and brighter interludes with lighter winds will develop between frontal systems. Temperatures are expected to be close to average overall, perhaps with some colder spells in the north and warmer conditions in the south at times.

High pressure will probably be the most dominant pattern during this period with a good deal of dry weather across the UK as whole. Some unsettled interludes could develop at times, but overall rainfall amounts are expected to be below average. Temperatures will probably be near to or slightly above normal, although some cold nights are still possible.
