Today:

A few bright spells during the morning. Turning increasingly cloudy from the southwest as rain, which may be heavy at times, pushes northeastwards during the afternoon. Remaining mild. Becoming breezy. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

Cloud and rain continuing to push wards northwards this evening leaving a largely dry night with clear spells. Feeling fresher to start the morning with light winds. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Saturday:

A mostly dry start with sunny spells. Some showers developing through late morning and into the afternoon, mixed with bright intervals. Less mild than recent days with light winds. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Dry to start on Sunday, but soon turning unsettled later as rain pushes eastwards, with further rain arriving Monday. Becoming drier but breezier on Tuesday with sunny spells. Chillier nights.

The start of this period is likely to be largely unsettled and mostly mild, with bands or areas of rain moving across most parts of the UK, although tending to be focused more on western and possibly southern parts. Locally strong winds may also accompany the rain at times. Some drier spells are also likely, the best of these probably towards the east and possibly the north. Where skies are clear and winds light overnight, frost and fog are likely, the fog slow to clear. From around the middle of the month, we may see a transition towards more generally drier weather across the UK, and with this it is likely to turn a little cooler overall, with a greater risk of overnight frost.

Whilst the expected weather patterns during late November are highly uncertain, there is a greater chance of spells of high pressure during this period, bringing more in the way of dry weather compared to the current weather pattern, which also increases the chances of overnight fog and frost. There will probably still be some spells of rain, showers, and stronger winds though, especially in the west. Hill snow is also a possibility, mainly in the north. Overall, near or slightly above average temperatures are most likely, though some colder spells are also possible, especially should any prolonged settled spells develop.
