Any showers in Pembrokeshire, Gwynedd and Anglesey gradually fading away. Otherwise a clear evening with temperatures quickly falling away. Turning widely frosty but clouding over later with temperatures perhaps recovering above freezing in some western areas by dawn. Light winds. Minimum temperature -3 °C.

Wednesday:

A dry and cold start but any brightness in the east short-lived. Occasional rain arriving by lunchtime and turning increasingly wet and breezy through the afternoon. Chilly, but milder later. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Much milder and windier on Thursday with further spells of rain. Remaining changeable thereafter with showers or longer spells of rain interspersed with sunny spells and turning somewhat colder again.

Changeable and unsettled conditions are expected across the UK during this period. Low pressure systems will tend to dominate meaning showers or longer spells of rain for much of the UK, though there will likely be some brief settled interludes. Some heavy rain or showers are expected, most often in the west, although with a risk some of this could spread to other areas at times. Snow will probably be confined to high ground in the north. Periods of strong wind are possible, especially around coasts and if any deep areas of low pressure form in the vicinity of the UK. Some short-lived spells of drier weather are possible, particularly in the southeast. Temperatures will likely be close to average or slightly above overall.

Probably rather unsettled through mid-December with spells of wet and windy weather, especially in the northwest. Some drier, more settled periods are possible, particularly in the southeast. Later in the month, details are uncertain but it may become wetter in the south and perhaps a little drier in the north. Temperatures will probably be above average overall.
