This Evening and Tonight:

A clear and dry night to start. Low cloud moving into the west during the early hours which could bring a spot of rain. Staying very mild. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Friday:

Low cloud in the west will lift through the morning, leaving a dry and bright day for most, with warm hazy sunshine. Temperatures continue to rise above the May average. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Very warm over the Bank Holiday weekend with plenty of sunshine and light winds. Any early morning cloud should burn back to the coasts through the morning each day.

Temperatures will fall through this period to be above normal but not as hot as through the preceding Bank Holiday weekend. With high pressure expected to remain in place for much of the UK, fine weather is likely to continue for most places. Some patchy rain may affect the far north at times and perhaps a few showers in the far south. Temperatures are expected to be above normal overall, feeling very warm at times with light winds.

High pressure is likely to bring fair weather for most at first. Rain and showers are still possible at times, mainly across Northern Ireland and Scotland. As we head towards mid-June, more mixed conditions are likely with spells of rain and showers. Drier weather is expected between any bouts of wetter weather. These drier interludes will tend to last longer across the south and east of England. Temperatures are most likely to be near or slightly above average overall, with some warm or very warm weather possible.
