Remaining largely dry and fine this evening with clear spells. Mist and fog patches developing under light winds. Low cloud and patchy rain arrive in the north and west later on. A chillier night than last night. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Sunday:

Mist and fog gradually lift into brief sunshine in the south whilst cloud and patchy rain further north gradually moves southeastwards through the day, clearing overnight. Temperatures near normal. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Largely fine and dry on Monday with high pressure in charge. Cloudier and breezier thereafter, with a few showers around. Temperatures near average but feeling chilly overnight.

High pressure will dominate across the UK early in this period, bringing a lot of dry weather. Some places may start foggy, mainly in the north, this slow to clear and possibly even lingering all day. Elsewhere, cloud amounts will be variable, but there should be some sunshine. Cloud is likely to be thick enough at times for a few mainly light showers or some drizzle though. For most, temperatures are likely to be close to normal, though it will be chilly where any fog lingers, and in the breezier south. Some overnight frost is likely where skies are clear and winds remain light. As we head into the following week, there are signs that more unsettled but potentially milder weather may return, but confidence surrounding this change is low.

During the second half of November, there is an increasing chance of changeable or more unsettled conditions developing, which would mean spells of rain and the potential for strong winds at times. The extent and location of the wettest and/or windiest areas are very uncertain at this range, with the wettest and windiest weather probably towards the north and west, but there are hints that overall the south may be wetter than normal whilst the northwest is a little drier than normal, suggesting the possibility that areas of low pressure may be steered further south than normal. Overall, temperatures will probably be near or a little above normal, although brief colder interludes are also possible with some overnight frost.
