A rather cloudy night follows with the rain easing and turning dry for a time. Remaining rather windy, keeping the temperatures from falling away. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Saturday:

A rather cloudy day for all on Saturday with a little patchy rain at times. Winds easing and turning drier towards the evening. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Dry but rather cloudy on Sunday with some overnight rain. Rather cloudy on Monday and Tuesday with some sunny spells and lighter winds and turning a little warmer.

A changeable period is expected, with Atlantic weather systems bringing spells of rain, showers and occasional strong winds. The wettest and windiest conditions are most likely across northern and western areas, although stronger winds may at times extend more widely. Between these unsettled spells, periods of drier and more settled weather are likely, especially in the south and east, where they may last for a few days. Accompanying these may be some overnight fog and frost. Temperatures are expected to be slightly above average overall.

Changeable and occasionally unsettled weather is likely to become more frequent through October, with spells of rain and stronger winds increasingly likely to move in from the Atlantic. Between these periods, some drier and brighter interludes are also expected. As is often the case for October, deeper areas of low pressure may occasionally bring spells of very strong winds. Temperatures are expected to remain slightly above average overall, although brief cooler interludes are possible.
