Cloudy at first this morning with a few spots of drizzle. However, cloud will gradually lift and break to give some good sunny spells through the day. Feeling warm in the sunshine, and a little less humid. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Tonight:

Staying dry tonight with plenty of clear spells across the region. A warm and humid night with temperatures in double figures. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Sunday:

A largely dry and bright day with plenty of sunny spells. A small chance of a few light showers later in the afternoon. Feeling hot and increasingly humid. Maximum temperature 26 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Turning very hot and humid at the start of next week with warm and muggy nights. Largely dry with strong sunshine and just a small chance of a few showers.

The first part of this period will see high pressure relinquish its grip on the UK with low pressure becoming increasingly dominant for a time. Initially, most places will start mainly fine and dry and it will be hot or very hot and humid across many central and southern parts. However, increasing amounts of cloud and some heavy, thundery rain or showers will spread erratically east or northeast across all parts, with much cooler, fresher conditions eventually spreading east or northeast by the end of the month. By early July it remains finely balanced as to whether low pressure, and more changeable conditions, are allowed to take over, or whether more settled conditions hold sway.

High pressure patterns are slightly more likely than low pressure patterns during this period, meaning settled and drier than average conditions are most probable. However, there is still a chance of some changeable, more unsettled conditions could develop at times, and a risk of some heavy and thundery showers. Temperatures are likely to be above normal, with a greater than normal chance of hot conditions developing.
