A dry, bright and sunny start to the day with blue skies. Cloud will increase from late morning with a few showery outbreaks of rain. Feeling very warm in the sunshine, though breezy. Maximum temperature 25 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy this evening with an increasing chance of some showers. Showery rain will become more widespread in the early hours. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Sunday:

A cloudy and wet start to the day with strengthening winds. Rain will ease a little into the afternoon, becoming more showery with a chance of brighter spells. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Largely dry through the start of next week, Plenty of sunny spells, and a small chance of a few showers on Monday and Tuesday. Turning warmer as the week progresses.

Dry at first across the south with long sunny periods, where it will also be very warm. Cloudier in the north with some outbreaks of rain, which could be heavy in places, and temperatures nearer normal. It will probably become more changeable thereafter, with potential for an area of low pressure to move close to or across the UK at the end of July or early August. This could bring spells of heavy rain and perhaps some strong winds for a time. It may become more settled again toward the end of the first week of August.

Dry and settled conditions will probably dominate much of this period with high pressure patterns tending to affect the UK. This may be interrupted at times by Atlantic frontal systems, especially in the north, or thunderstorms in the south. However, overall rainfall amounts will likely be below normal. Temperatures will probably be above normal and some spells of hot weather and heatwaves are possible, especially in the south.
