A wet evening and night to come with the rain heavy and persistent at times, especially over the hills. Windy initially, although easing later in the night. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Monday:

A wet start, especially in the east. Rain will begin to clear from the west though with a mix of sunshine and a few showers for the afternoon. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Staying unsettled with a mixture of sunshine and showers on Tuesday and Wednesday, before turning wet and windy on Thursday. Temperatures around or a little below average.

The wettest conditions will be in the northwest, with more in the way of drier interludes in the southeast. Strong winds may affect parts of the UK at times, especially the northwest. Later in the period, higher pressure and more settled conditions may begin to become more prevalent, especially in the south. There will probably still be some showers or longer spells of rain though. Temperatures are likely to be near or a little above normal overall.
