A bright day with blustery showers. Heavy, sometimes thundery downpours are expected throughout the day, interspersed with drier, sunnier spells. Windy, with gales possible near northwestern coasts. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Scattered showers continue, giving a distinctly autumnal feel to the new working week. Longer spells of rain are expected at times, but there will be some breaks to sunshine too.

Some short-lived spells of drier and more settled weather are also possible at times, especially later in the period when they may last a little longer. Temperatures will likely be close to average or slightly below overall, but may rise above at times in any drier, sunnier spells.
