Bright end to the afternoon with sunny spells giving way to clear spells overnight. Turning increasing cloudy from the west from midnight with outbreaks of heavy and thundery rain arriving. Minimum temperature 14 °C.

Saturday:

A cloudy and wet start with rain, clearing to east during the morning. Turning brighter from the west with sunny spells and showers following. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Unsettled throughout with showers, these locally heavy and with thundery. Staying warm to start with but turning fresher as winds shift to a westerly and strengthen from Monday.

Rainfall amounts will probably be above average for the time year across many areas with the wettest conditions in the northwest. Potential for some strong winds at times. Some drier and more settled interludes could develop, perhaps becoming longer in duration across southern areas later in this period. Temperatures are likely to be near average, although some short-lived warm or very warm spells are possible, especially in the south.
