Early fog patches quickly clearing and any light showers also easing too. Otherwise, frequent sunny periods for all with fair weather cloud at times. Quite breezy by this afternoon but feeling warm out of the wind. Maximum temperature 25 °C.

Tonight:

Plenty of sunshine this evening, then dry with clear skies overnight. Patchy low cloud developing later with a few fog patches possible in the countryside. Turning fresh in rural areas. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Sunday:

Any mist or fog quickly clearing after dawn to leave a dry day with plenty of sunshine. Feeling warmer than on Saturday with lighter winds. Maximum temperature 26 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Largely dry and very warm early next week with some strong sunshine at times. Isolated showers, perhaps thundery, later on Monday and Tuesday. Possibly turning somewhat fresher on Wednesday.

A changeable pattern across northwestern areas of the UK at first with spells of rain interspersed with drier interludes. Further southeast, predominantly fine, with a spell of hot weather breaking at the start of this period. Much of England could still see warm or very warm temperatures for at least a couple of days and there is a possibility that the heat could last further into the week, especially in the south, where there is also the possibility of some thunderstorms. Beyond this, probably a resumption of widely somewhat fresher conditions, with a lot of dry weather to be had in the south under the influence of high pressure. Meanwhile a rather more changeable and breezier theme will continue further to the north but it may become increasingly settled.

High pressure, and therefore largely settled conditions overall, appears more likely at first. Although dry weather is likely to dominate, periods of rain or showers and thunderstorms may develop at times. Above average temperatures overall seem most likely, with the potential for further hot spells to develop, especially in the east and south. By the turn of the month, there are signals for high pressure to become less dominant with perhaps a greater chance of some rain, though there is some uncertainty in this aspect of the forecast.
