Rise in carbon dioxide off track for limiting global warming to 1.5°C
The increase of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO₂) is now incompatible with IPCC pathways which remain below 1.5°C, a Met Office study finds.

Grey and gloomy, but staying dry.
A chilly morning for some, and then a rather grey day with only occasional brighter breaks, these most frequent along the north Devon coastline. Remaining dry though, and staying settled with light winds. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
A rather murky night with cloudy skies bringing hill fog across the Moors. Mild for most, but feeling chilly beneath cloud breaks in the southwest with a localised frost possible. Minimum temperature 1 °C.
Cloudy, particularly in the east, where the odd spot of drizzle may be felt. Remaining fine and settled though, although cold beneath grey skies. Light winds. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
Remaining cloudy. Still dry on Sunday, however patchy light rain is possible beneath the thickest cloud through Monday and Tuesday. Feeling chilly, with frosty nights in places.
