A mostly dry start to the evening with a few showers developing across Devon and Cornwall in the early hours. Staying mild for everyone. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Friday:

Heavy rain moves into the west through the morning with isolated showers elsewhere. Rain spreads eastwards with the risk of heavy downpours. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

An unsettled bank holiday weekend with showers and possibly more thunder on the way. Staying warm to start with but turning fresher as winds shift to a westerly by Monday.

Rainfall amounts will probably be above average for the time year with the wettest conditions in the northwest. Potential for some strong winds at times. Some drier and more settled interludes could develop, perhaps becoming longer in duration across southern areas later in this period. Temperatures are likely to be near average, although some short-lived warm or very warm spells are possible, especially in the south.
