Some residual spells of evening sunshine at first but the cloud will soon thicken from the west to bring outbreaks of rain, heavy at times. Remaining wet overnight, with mist in places. Much milder than Thursday night. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Saturday:

Rain, locally heavy, soon clearing east to brighter skies. Warm, largely dry in the afternoon but increasingly breezy with the odd heavy shower possible. Further rain in the evening. Maximum temperature 22 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Windy with sunny spells on Sunday and Monday, the odd shower likely. Some rain on Monday evening. Windy with further rain and showers on Tuesday. Temperatures near normal.

Likely continuing changeable with further frontal systems running east into the UK bringing further spells of rain, with showery interludes in-between. Strong winds may also develop at times, particularly in the north and northwest. With time the signs are that systems will increasingly track to the northwest of the country, with the south starting to see longer, drier interludes while the northwest continues to see more in the way of rain and at times strong winds, Temperatures are expected to be slightly above average overall, but will be cooler in any prolonged periods of rainfall. Meanwhile there is the possibility of some very warm, perhaps hot conditions developing, especially in the south and these bring with them the chance of thunderstorms.

Changeable weather across the UK with a mixture of Atlantic weather systems moving in from the west interspersed with dry and sunny periods. Wetter conditions tending to be across the northwest of the UK, with the south and southeast likely to see more in the way of dry weather, Temperatures are most likely to be near normal or slightly above in the north and west, perhaps with some hot spells at times, especially across the south.
