A drier spell this evening, but further heavy rain is likely overnight before probably turning drier by the morning with a few showers. A milder night and staying frost free. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Monday:

Monday will be a rather cloudy and changeable day with showery outbreaks and perhaps longer periods of rain at times, heavy in places. Windy with temperatures near to average. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Remaining generally unsettled during this period with showers or longer spells of rain, heavy at times. Probably turning somewhat drier by Thursday. Windy at first with temperatures near average.

Cloud and periods of wet weather will probably affect far north and north-western parts of the UK at times, particularly early in this period. Some heavy rain is possible which could be accompanied by some spells of strong winds. South of this, across the rest of the UK, it is likely to be more settled and whilst some rain can't be ruled out at times, it should be predominantly dry through this period. Winds will mainly be light and this will bring the risk of mist and freezing fog patches and overnight frosts. Overall, temperatures will probably be close to normal for most, but perhaps slightly above in the far north and northwest of the UK.

Some periods of unsettled weather are likely at first bringing spells of rain and strong winds, mainly across the north of the UK but also spreading further south at times. Toward late February, drier, more settled conditions may develop, particularly in the south but perhaps spreading further north at times. Temperatures probably close to average overall.
