Cloudy with showery outbreaks further north and west to start on Wednesday, becoming drier by midday with long sunny spells developing. Feeling pleasant in that sunshine with light southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Turning more settled, largely dry with sunny spells by day. Nights become misty with light winds and clear skies, with fog perhaps lingering through morning.

Pressure is set to build in the vicinity of the UK as we move into early November, with a lot of dry weather as a result. Cloud amounts will be quite variable with weak fronts bringing a focus of cloud, and possibly light rain at times, but there is no significant bias to where these are favoured. Within the high pressure, some places, perhaps more likely towards the east, will likely see overnight and morning fog, which at this time of year could take a while to clear and where it lingers, it will remain chilly. Otherwise, temperatures generally fairly close to average for most during this period. Winds will generally be light, although stronger for the coastal north at times.

Probably largely settled at first, perhaps with some chilly nights. Moving further into November, there is an increased chance of more unsettled conditions developing, with a return to spells of rain and potential for strong winds. However, the extent and location of wettest or windiest areas is uncertain. Overall, temperatures will probably be near or a little above average.
