Cloudy and rather cold, with a few wintry flurries.
Cold and frosty this morning, with scattered showers spreading in from the southeast, these falling as sleet or snow over higher ground. Generally light winds, though breezy at times along the spine of the Pennines, and widely cold. Maximum temperature 4 °C.
Cloudy this evening with further showers, some wintry across the hills. Light winds, and feeling chilly, though not as cold as previous nights, with a local frost in rural parts. Minimum temperature 0 °C.
Another cloudy day with scattered showers in the east, wintry at times. Drier and brighter in the west, especially to the lee of high ground. Becoming breezier through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 6 °C.
Remaining largely cloudy into the new week with spells of rain and drizzle at time, falling as sleet or snow across the high ground. Feeling cold, especially in brisk winds.
