Today:

Largely sunny and dry and becoming widely very warm or hot inland, away from cooler and breezier coastal areas. A few, localised showers or thunderstorms are possible at times, mainly across Norfolk until around midday and elsewhere by late afternoon. Maximum temperature 30 °C.

Tonight:

Any showers or thunderstorms easing and skies clearing to leave a fine, dry night. Rather warm for many eastern areas, although feeling slightly fresher in the west. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Friday:

Some sunshine likely, although probably largely cloudy through the middle of the day with a risk of showers, perhaps thundery. Slightly cooler for many areas, but still generally very warm. Maximum temperature 27 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Dry, largely sunny and very warm, locally hot on Saturday. Trending cooler and more changeable from Sunday. An increased chance of rain, but still some fine, warm weather at times.

A changeable period, as a sequence of Atlantic weather systems move in from the west to bring a mixture of drier spells and some showers or longer spells of rain at times. The best of the drier conditions are more likely towards the south and east, with the rain generally more frequent in parts of the west and northwest, although there will be drier interludes here also. Temperatures will be near-normal overall, with the warmest spots most likely across eastern areas. It will also be breezy at times, most especially across northwestern areas.

Probably changeable or unsettled at first with Atlantic frontal systems bringing showers or longer spells of rain at times. From mid-month, high pressure may begin to become more dominant with conditions becoming drier and more settled, although some showery interludes are still possible. Temperatures are expected to be near normal at first, but probably rising above average later.
