A fine and dry evening with sunny spells. Remaining mostly dry overnight but clouding over from the west with the best of clear intervals towards the coast. Muggy overnight. Minimum temperature 14 °C.

Wednesday:

Cloudy to start with light rain developing across the region during the morning. This clears to the east leaving isolated showers but becoming fine into the evening. Temperatures around average. Maximum temperature 22 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Mostly dry and partly cloudy for the next few days, although the odd light shower is possible. Feeling warm in the sun and muggy by night.

An unsettled period is likely, with many places seeing showers or longer spells of rain at times. Rain is expected to be most frequent across northern and western areas, while the south and east are more likely to see longer, drier spells. There is also the potential for some strong and gusty winds, particularly in the northwest. Temperatures are likely to be near average, although brief warm or very warm spells are possible, especially in the south.

Confidence is very low from mid-September onwards. Initially, a continuation of the changeable pattern is most likely, with the wettest conditions in the northwest and longer drier interludes in the southeast. As we head further into September, the distribution of rainfall becomes increasingly uncertain at this range. Settled or dry spells are still likely between weather systems. Temperatures are likely to be around average overall, although some warm spells are possible, particularly in the south.
