Hill fog and rain, locally heavy, at first. Through today the rain gradually becomes lighter and more intermittent, but cloudy conditions persist. Windy in places, especially over high ground and along the coast. Feeling chilly with the easterly wind. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

Overcast at first with patchy light rain and hill fog. Overnight dry conditions with broken cloud will gradually reach most places, apart for the far south. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Sunday:

Largely dry with bright or sunny spells and patchy cloud, once early cloud and patchy light rain across the far south quickly clears. Isolated light coastal showers may arrive. Colder. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Monday and Tuesday mainly dry with sunny periods. Tuesday night outbreaks of rain may arrive and gradually clear Wednesday, scattered showers follow. Rather cold or cold with some overnight frosts.

A cold northerly flow will affect the UK initially, with widespread overnight frosts, below average temperatures and frequent wintry showers, these primarily in exposed northern, eastern and western coastal counties, but may feed farther inland in some places. Towards the end of the week and beyond, a transition to a milder but more unsettled regime is likely, as Atlantic frontal systems track eastwards across or near the UK. This will bring a chance of more widespread spells of rain or showers at times, perhaps with some occasional hill snow in the north, and the risk of some strong winds. Temperatures will tend to fluctuate from day to day, but overall will likely be close to average.

Whilst the expected weather patterns during late November are very uncertain, there is a greater chance of slower evolving weather patterns. This could bring rain or showers with hill snow also a possibility, mainly in the north. However, interspersed, there are also likely to be periods of high pressure, bringing more in the way of dry weather compared to the current weather pattern, which also increases the chances of overnight fog and frost. Overall, near or slightly above average temperatures are most likely, though some colder spells are also possible, especially should any prolonged settled spells develop.
