Clear skies overnight, with temperatures dropping to give a widespread, sharp frost. Winds fresh to start but easing towards dawn. Patchy mist and fog patches may form through the early hours as winds ease. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

Wednesday:

Dry with lengthy sunny spells and gentle winds, the sunshine perhaps stronger than you might expect for mid-March. Clear spells overnight with light winds and areas of fog and frost. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Largely dry and sunny on Thursday, sunshine turning hazier on Friday. Turning unsettled on Saturday, cloudy with spells of rain, heavy at times.

Temperatures are likely to be widely above average at the start of this period, and it will feel warm in any sunshine, before probably falling back and then fluctuating around average for the remainder rest of the month. The first of April will likely continue in this vein, though it could throw up the odd surprise.
