Today:

A mostly cloudy day with outbreaks of rain, occasionally heavy especially across the Peak District. Some drier and brighter spells are possible in the east. Temperatures mild for the time of year, but this offset by gusty winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

Mostly dry with some clear spells in the southeast, but thicker cloud with some rain in the northwest. Windy, especially on coasts. Mild. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Tuesday:

Dry at first with brighter spells in the southeast. Thicker cloud with rain, perhaps heavy at times, in the northwest, spreading to all parts later. Wind strengthening later. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Remaining unsettled, with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times. Occasionally breezy. Mostly mild, although cool temperatures are possible on Thursday night.

Changeable and at times unsettled weather is likely to continue into the start of this period, with low pressure dominating the UK. This means further showers or longer spells of rain at times. All parts could see some heavy rain, but it is likely that western areas will be wettest. Strong winds are likely at times, with gales possible in the west. Equally there should also be some drier or clearer interludes, these more prevalent further east. A transition to a less unsettled pattern becomes increasingly probable from around the 9th or 10th of the month, making drier interludes increasingly common. Temperatures most likely to be around average, particularly at first, and probably overall. Should it become more settled, the chance of overnight frosts would increase

A greater chance of periods of high pressure bringing more in the way of dry weather, compared to the current weather pattern, which also increases the chances of overnight fog and frost. There will most likely however still be periods of rain, showers, and stronger winds, especially in the west. Weather patterns are very uncertain during late November. Overall, near or above average temperatures are most likely though some colder spells are possible, especially should any prolonged settled spells develop.
