Tonight:

A mostly dry evening, then a band of heavy rain sweeps through quickly overnight, only lingering in the east by dawn. Very strong winds, turning to gales at the coast. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Tuesday:

Once lingering rain clears, a bright and breezy day follows with isolated showers and plenty of sunny spells. Feeling fresh in the strong breeze, this easing through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Dry with sunny spells and easing winds Wednesday. Overnight cloud or fog clears to sunny spells and light winds Thursday, then cloud starts to build again Friday.

A band of rain will make erratic eastward progress at the start of this period, clearing to the east or dying out as high pressure becomes more dominant in the vicinity of the UK. Into early November, high pressure will most likely be the dominant feature near the UK, meaning drier than normal conditions for most if not all areas, though it could be rather cloudy and grey at times. If light winds and/or clear skies combine overnight, then areas of fog could develop. Overall, temperatures are likely to be close to normal, but with the potential for cold nights with some frost.

Probably settled at first, perhaps with some chilly nights. Moving further into November, there is an increased chance of more unsettled conditions developing, with a return to spells of rain and potential for strong winds. However, the extent and location of wettest or windiest areas is uncertain. Overall, temperatures will probably be near or a little above average.
