Isolated light showers this evening, but all areas becoming dry overnight with occasional clear spells. Winds easing, possibly allowing patchy mist and fog to develop in places later, this most likely in Cumbria. Cold with a frost developing in places. Minimum temperature -2 °C.
Tuesday:
A dry day with broken cloud and sunny spells. Any fog may be very slow to clear in the north, keeping it cold. Otherwise chilly but winds lighter than Monday. Maximum temperature 6 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
High pressure continues to dominate, bringing a mixture of cloud and sunny spells by day, and a chance of frost and fog by night. Winds remaining fairly light.
