Some evening sunshine especially in east, with isolated showers. Later this evening and overnight the showers becoming more frequent, some on the heavy side especially towards the Southern Uplands. Still windy towards the coast and over higher ground. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Monday:

Starting cloudy with frequent heavy showers over Lanarkshire otherwise bright or sunny intervals and more scattered showers, some heavy with chance of isolated thunder. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Sunny intervals and showers on Tuesday and Wednesday, perhaps a longer spell of rain in south on Wednesday, with lighter winds. Thursday breezy with sunny intervals and showers.

This will mean showers or longer spells of rain will affect much of the UK at times. Some heavy rain or showers are expected in places, most often in the west. Thunderstorms and hail are also possible, as are some spells of strong winds if any deep areas of low pressure form in the vicinity of the UK. Some short-lived spells of drier and more settled weather are also possible at times, especially early and again late in the period, when they may last a little longer. Temperatures will likely be close to average or slightly below overall, but may rise above at times in any drier, sunnier spells.

Low pressure is likely to dominate much of this period, bringing changeable weather conditions with showers or some longer spells of rain at times. There will likely be some drier, more settled interludes, particularly at the start of the period. Temperatures are likely to be close to average, perhaps turning warmer than average later in the period.
