This evening will see scattered showers. Showers gradually dying out through the early hours, becoming dry by dawn. A cold night with frost in sheltered glens. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Friday:

Dry in the morning with some early sunshine. Dry and cloudier in the afternoon, outbreaks of rain spreading northeast in the evening along with strengthening southeasterly winds. Rather cold. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Mainly dry with sunny intervals and just a few showers on Saturday. More in the way of showers on Sunday and Monday.

Later, conditions may become drier and more settled, especially in the north and east, but parts of the south and west may still see some showers or longer spells of rain. Temperatures will likely be near to or slightly above average.

Blocked patterns with high pressure near to the UK will probably be dominant during this period with a good deal of dry weather across the UK as whole. Some unsettled interludes could develop at times, especially in the south, where rainfall amounts could be above average at times.
