Rise in carbon dioxide off track for limiting global warming to 1.5°C
The increase of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO₂) is now incompatible with IPCC pathways which remain below 1.5°C, a Met Office study finds.

The vast majority of the area staying dry through the evening and overnight. Rather cloudy but some cloud breaks developing towards dawn. Southerly breezes occasionally fresh across the coasts. Minimum temperature 2 °C.
Dry and occasionally bright for much of the day. Cloud building from mid-afternoon with patchy rain gradually extending into the west through the evening. Maximum temperature 8 °C.
Monday sees patchy rain early, then turning largely dry and occasionally bright with light winds. Tuesday and Wednesday mainly cloudy with some patchy rain about, but also drier interludes.
