Starting cloudy, showery, with frequent heavy showers over Dumfriesshire and Western Borders otherwise bright or sunny intervals and more scattered showers, some still heavy with chance of isolated thunder. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Sunny intervals and showers on Tuesday and Wednesday, perhaps a longer spell of rain in south on Wednesday, with lighter winds. Thursday breezy with sunny intervals and showers.

Some short-lived spells of drier and more settled weather are also possible at times, especially early and again late in the period, when they may last a little longer. Temperatures will likely be close to average or slightly below overall, but may rise above at times in any drier, sunnier spells.
