Mainly dry and cloudy or bright with occasional sunny breaks, the best of these through the Trossachs and west in the afternoon. Winds will be moderate from the east. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Mostly cloudy with rain or showers at times, the rain perhaps heavy and thundery. Some drier and brighter spells.

An unsettled period is likely, with showers or longer spells of rain possible across many parts of the UK. Some heavy rain is likely, perhaps with some thunderstorms too. Rainfall amounts will probably be above average for the time year and there is potential for some strong winds at times. Some drier and more settled interludes could develop at times, but these will likely be short-lived. Temperatures are likely to be near average, although some short-lived warm or very warm spells are possible, especially in the south.

Most likely a continuation of the generally unsettled conditions at first with showers or longer spells of rain across many areas, perhaps heavy and thundery in places. However, there may still be some brief drier interludes at times. Further into September, drier weather may become more prevalent, especially in the south and southeast, with any more unsettled conditions tending to become more likely further north and northwest. Temperatures will probably be near normal at first but may become warmer later, with the possibility of some hot spells in the south.
