Cloudy but mostly dry in the evening with just a few spots of light rain. Rain will turn more persistent and occasionally heavy overnight. Becoming breezy around the coasts. Minimum temperature 15 °C.

Friday:

Cloudy with persistent and occasionally heavy rain in the morning. Staying cloudy throughout the day but rain gradually easing. Drier in the west. Windy at times, particularly around the coast. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Further rain or showers, occasionally heavy, but also with some drier and brighter spells at times.

Likely remaining unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain across all areas at times. Rainfall amounts will probably be above average for the time year with the wettest conditions in the northwest. Potential for some strong winds at times. Some drier and more settled interludes could develop, perhaps becoming longer in duration across southern areas later in this period. Temperatures are likely to be near average, although some short-lived warm or very warm spells are possible, especially in the south.

Further into September, drier weather may become more prevalent, especially in the south and southeast, with more unsettled conditions tending to become more likely further north and northwest.
