Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Dry with sunny spells on Monday. Becoming more unsettled from Tuesday with rain or showers at times, turning windier, especially by Wednesday. Remaining rather warm throughout.

Further southeast, a greater chance of drier conditions, although given the potential for high temperatures and high humidity, there is the possibility of some thunderstorms breaking out as well. Towards late June, there is a signal for more widely settled conditions to develop with high pressure more likely to dominate, with temperatures probably remaining above average for most.

High pressure is expected to lie close to the UK at the start of this period, bringing largely settled and dry conditions. Temperatures will likely be above normal, with the potential for hot conditions to develop, especially in the south. Further into July, the influence of high pressure may weaken or shift more to the north or west of the UK, bringing an increasing chance of more unsettled weather and thunderstorms, especially in the south. Temperatures will probably ease back closer to normal too, although some warm and humid spells remain possible at times.
