Overnight cloud clearing during Friday.

This Evening and Tonight:

Remaining murky and dull throughout much of Thursday evening and overnight with low cloud resulting in hill fog. Rather damp with outbreaks of drizzle but staying mild under the cloud cover. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Friday:

Cloud and drizzle clearing through the morning. Drier and brighter thereafter with sunny spells, though a little breezy at times. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Staying largely settled with light winds as high pressure dominates. Sunny spells this weekend, perhaps more cloud into next week. Locally chilly overnight with fog patches.

UK long range weather forecast

High pressure is expected to be the dominant weather type across the UK at the start of this period. Whilst some rain and drizzle is likely in parts of the south and east on Tuesday, the rest of the first week is expected to be predominantly dry. Cloud amounts will vary, but most areas will see some spells of sunshine and there could be a few isolated fog patches overnight. Temperatures are likely to be close to normal for the time of year. During the second half of this period, there are signs that the overall pattern will shift with low pressure systems probably moving in from the west in some fashion. However, details of any wetter and more unsettled weather are still very uncertain.
