A wet and windy end to the day with outbreaks of heavy rain sweeping eastwards. Turning drier by dawn with winds easing slightly and milder. Minimum temperature 6 °C.
Some patchy rain over Cumbria, otherwise most places seeing a dry start. Turning more unsettled by the afternoon with heavy showery rain and brisk winds. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
A calmer interlude to start Friday before potentially turning wet and windy into Saturday morning. Turning colder with a mixture of sunny spells and scattered blustery showers over the weekend.
