A dry and bright start but turning increasing cloudy from mid-morning with outbreaks of heavy rain reaching the region and persisting during much of the day. Turning somewhat brighter across the south of the region later. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Tonight:

Outbreaks of rain, locally heavy will continue to move slowly northwards across the region. This will turn light and patchy later in the night as it clears from the south. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Sunday:

A damp start on Sunday with sunny spells soon giving way to showers, these will prove heavy with thunder and hail during the afternoon and evening. Temperatures close to normal. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Unsettled throughout with showers, these locally heavy and with thunder. Staying warm to start with but turning fresher as winds shift to a westerly. Breezy at times.

Likely remaining unsettled with most areas seeing some showers or longer spells of rain at times, with the main focus for these across northern and western areas. Potential for some strong and gusty winds at times. Some drier and more settled interludes could develop, perhaps becoming longer in duration across southern areas later in this period. Temperatures are likely to be near average, although some short-lived warm or very warm spells are possible, especially in the south.

Signals are fairly limited from mid-September onward. At first, probably a continuation of a changeable regime with the wettest conditions in the northwest and longer drier interludes in the southeast. However, the distribution of rainfall soon becomes very unclear, although compared to earlier in the month there is a greater chance of more prolonged settled/dry spells. Temperatures likely varying around average with some warm spells likely, especially in the south.
