Dry and clear at first this evening, with a slight frost in places. Overnight, a band of cloud and showery outbreaks of rain arrive from the west, wintry over high ground, before mostly dying away later. Minimum temperature -2 °C.

Sunday:

Mainly dry with some bright or sunny spells for the morning. Through the afternoon becoming windy, especially along the coast, with rain and hill snow spreading northeast. Feeling cold. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Staying unsettled with spells of rain or showers each day, these often heavy. Windy at times as well, potentially very windy Monday. Temperatures will be mainly close to average.

Cloud and periods of wet weather will probably affect far north and north-western parts of the UK at times, particularly early in this period. Some heavy rain is possible which could be accompanied by some spells of strong winds. South of this, across the rest of the UK, it is likely to be more settled and whilst some rain can't be ruled out at times, it should be predominantly dry through this period. Winds will mainly be light and this will bring the risk of mist and freezing fog patches and overnight frosts. Overall, temperatures will probably be close to normal for most, but perhaps slightly above in the far north and northwest of the UK.

Some periods of unsettled weather are likely at first bringing spells of rain and strong winds, mainly across the north of the UK but also spreading further south at times. Toward late February, drier, more settled conditions may develop, particularly in the south but perhaps spreading further north at times. Temperatures probably close to average overall.
