Feeling rather humid tonight. Dry on Monday but increasingly breezy.

This Evening and Tonight:

Fine for many this evening, although rather breezy in places and feeling fairly humid. Cloud and patchy rain will spread southeastwards overnight, but many areas are likely to remain dry. Fresher conditions will gradually develop from the northwest by dawn. Minimum temperature 15 °C.

Monday:

Rather cloudy at first but brightening up, with some sunny spells developing. However, winds will steadily strengthen ahead of a band of rain, occasionally heavy, pushing eastwards during the evening. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Windy with blustery showers on Tuesday. Winds and showers gradually easing Wednesday. Largely dry with light winds Thursday, some showers in the west. Temperatures around average for early September.

Changeable initially, with some dry interludes and relatively cool nights, interspersed with occasional spells of rain and showers arriving from the west, perhaps accompanied by some strong winds at times too. A trend toward some longer dry interludes between systems as we head toward mid-September, but at this stage a return of prolonged dry, settled weather looks unlikely. Temperatures will probably be close to average overall, though still with some relatively cool nights at times.

High pressure initially close to the UK, with a continuation of more settled conditions at times, may eventually start to weaken its influence on the weather towards the end of September. As a result, it may become more changeable with a greater chance of rain or showers in places, and perhaps some strong winds at times too. Temperatures will likely be a little above average overall, with relatively cool nights possible at first tending to reduce in frequency later in the period.
