A cloudy evening with showers and an isolated rumble of thunder. Temperatures remain warm overnight. Winds southwesterly and light but breezy along the coast. Minimum temperature 18 °C.

Sunday:

Fresher conditions spreading to all parts into Sunday, with sunshine and showers. More seasonable temperatures than expected. Winds moderate southwesterly. Maximum temperature 25 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Monday is looking dry and settled. Turning more unsettled on Tuesday with sunshine and showers. Wednesday starts of sunny, then clouding over with rain later.

A drier start to July for most. Cloudier towards the west, otherwise a good deal of sunshine for most. Some northwestern parts may still see rain on occasion, perhaps accompanied by strong winds at times. Temperatures are likely to start off near average in the north and slightly warmer than average in the south, but fairly widely tending to increase further as high pressure dominates the weather into the second week of July, especially across England and Wales.

High pressure is looking slightly more likely than low pressure during the early part of this period, meaning a greater chance of settled and drier than average conditions. Outbreaks of rain and stronger are possible at times, these more likely further north. As normal for the time of year, there is still a chance of some heavy and thundery showers which may interrupt any warm and settled weather. Towards the end of July there is no reliable signal for preferring any one weather pattern over another. However, temperatures are likely to be above normal on the whole, with a greater than normal chance of hot conditions developing at times.
