Dry with long clear spells and turning chilly again, with a touch of ground frost in sheltered spots. Winds mostly light but becoming breezier along the coast and over hills. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Tuesday:

Dry, fine and warm, the sunshine perhaps turning hazier later. A brisk breeze, especially across hills and along the coast, giving a noticeably cooler feel here. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Mostly dry Wednesday, generally cloudier although still with warm bright or sunny spells. Lighter winds. Thursday colder, breezy with sunshine and showers. Friday, cloud, rain and stronger winds moving east.

Changeable with Atlantic frontal systems moving across the UK at times. These will bring spells of unsettled weather, with showers or longer spells of rain and a risk of strong winds. The wettest conditions will probably be in the northwest of the UK, with a risk of snow on high ground in the north. Drier and brighter interludes with lighter winds will develop between frontal systems. Temperatures are expected to be close to average overall, perhaps with some colder spells in the north and warmer conditions in the south at times.

High pressure will probably be the most dominant pattern during this period with a good deal of dry weather across the UK as whole. Some unsettled interludes could develop at times, but overall rainfall amounts are expected to be below average. Temperatures will probably be near to or slightly above normal, although some cold nights are still possible.
