A fine and largely sunny evening. Dry and clear overnight with light winds and perhaps some isolated mist or fog patches. A rural frost may also develop away from the coast towards dawn. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Wednesday:

Another fine and dry day with plenty of sunshine, but remaining cooler towards the coast with an onshore breeze. Chilly overnight with low cloud and sea fog likely spreading inland. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Through this period overnight low cloud and sea fog will clear for most by daytime, though some low cloud may linger near the coast, keeping it cooler. Breezy at times.

High pressure should prevail for most of the outlook period, maintaining largely settled conditions for much of the time. This should result in lengthy spells of dry and bright weather. There is still a chance of patchy overnight frosts where winds fall light. There is also the chance of some areas of low cloud or fog, especially around some coasts. Towards the middle of April, the weather may turn more unsettled as rain or showers try to push in from the west. It will be breezy at times, especially in the southwest at first. Daytime temperatures will depend on the wind direction and cloud amounts, with potential for warm conditions at times but also cooler interludes.

Weather patterns are most likely to remain fairly slow-moving through the second half of April. There could be some interludes of rain or showers for a time around mid April, but on the whole plenty of dry and fine weather is expected with high pressure looking to remain in charge for most of the time. Temperatures are likely to be around or a little above average overall, and feeling warm inland at times during the day, although some chilly nights are still possible under any clear skies.
