Becoming wet and windy later today.
Today:
Often cloudy this morning with perhaps a few showers and hill fog over the Pennines, but also some bright spells. Then cloud thickens and winds strengthen, with patchy rain arriving by mid-afternoon, quickly followed by heavy rain. Temperatures near average. Maximum temperature 21 °C.
Tonight:
Initial heavy rain will become light and patchy this evening, then clearing east. Then clear spells and isolated showers follow. The winds ease a little overnight, but still remaining breezy. Minimum temperature 11 °C.
Sunday:
Sunny spells and scattered showers, with the showers especially in the afternoon, when some could become heavy with hail, thunder and gusty winds. Breezy inland, windy along the coast. Maximum temperature 21 °C.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
