Becoming wet through the morning with heavy rain leading to poor driving conditions by late morning and afternoon. Rain easing but widely grey and damp into the evening. Feeling cooler. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Remaining unsettled, a brighter day with isolated showers on Thursday, ahead of further heavy rain into Friday. Turning drier through Friday into Saturday. Temperatures near average.

Rain is expected to be most frequent across northern and western areas, while the south and east are more likely to see longer, drier spells. There is also the potential for some strong and gusty winds, particularly in the northwest. Temperatures are likely to be near average, although brief warm or very warm spells are possible, especially in the south.

Confidence is very low from mid-September onwards. Initially, a continuation of the changeable pattern is most likely, with the wettest conditions in the northwest and longer drier interludes in the southeast. As we head further into September, the distribution of rainfall becomes increasingly uncertain at this range. Settled or dry spells are still likely between weather systems. Temperatures are likely to be around average overall, although some warm spells are possible, particularly in the south.
