Initial heavy rain will become light and patchy this evening, then clearing east. Then clear spells and isolated showers follow. The winds ease a little overnight, but still remaining breezy. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Sunday:

Sunny spells and scattered showers, with the showers especially in the afternoon, when some could become heavy with hail, thunder and gusty winds. Breezy inland, windy along the coast. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Sunny intervals and showers each day, these often heavy. There is also a chance of spells of heavy rain, especially Wednesday. Breezy Monday. Temperatures near or slightly below normal.

This will mean showers or longer spells of rain will affect the much of the UK at times. Some heavy rain or showers are expected in places, most often in the west. Thunderstorms and hail are also possible, as are some spells of strong winds if any deep areas of low pressure form in the vicinity of the UK. Some short-lived spells of drier and more settled weather are also possible at times, especially later in the period when they may last a little longer. Temperatures will likely be close to average or slightly below overall, but may rise above at times in any drier, sunnier spells.
