Early rain in west, otherwise mainly dry with sunny spells
Rather cloudy start in southwest with outbreaks of rain soon clearing to leave a bright day with long sunny spells developing. Risk of the odd shower over the hills this afternoon and low cloud and mist affecting Moray Firth coasts. Maximum temperature 22 °C.
Any showers soon dying out this evening with some late sunshine then clear spells overnight. Low cloud and mist edging inland from the Moray Firth. Chilly in rural parts. Minimum temperature 5 °C.
Low cloud and mist becoming confined to eastern coasts through the morning, otherwise a largely dry and sunny day, just a small chance of a shower over the hills. Maximum temperature 23 °C.
Dry with long clear or sunny spells through the coming days, although haar may affect eastern coasts at times. Warm or very warm, but eastern coasts cooler with onshore breezes.
