Any showers soon fading out to leave a dry evening with some bright spells. Clouding over in the east overnight, with some outbreaks of rain for Easter Ross and Caithness developing in the early hours. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Friday:

Rain in the east, perhaps turning heavy at times before gradually easing through the afternoon and evening. Generally drier but quite cloudy in the west. Occasionally breezy around the coasts. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Rain and fresh winds clearing early Saturday. Then rain or showers at times, occasionally heavy, along with some drier and brighter spells. Winds will be mostly light, freshening on Monday.

Likely remaining unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain across all areas at times. Rainfall amounts will probably be above average for the time year across many areas with the wettest conditions in the northwest. Potential for some strong winds at times. Some drier and more settled interludes could develop, perhaps becoming longer in duration across southern areas later in this period. Temperatures are likely to be near average, although some short-lived warm or very warm spells are possible, especially in the south.

Signals are fairly limited from mid-September onward. At first, probably a continuation of a changeable regime with the wettest conditions in the northwest and longer drier interludes in the southeast. However, the distribution of rainfall soon becomes very unclear though compared to earlier in the month there is a greater chance of more prolonged settled/dry spells. Temperatures likely varying around average with some warm spells likely, especially in the south.
