The evening will be cloudy with scattered wintry showers in the north. These showers will die later with clear spells increasing in the east towards morning. Sharp frost south. Minimum temperature -3 °C.

Saturday:

The day will begin cold with a sharp frost and sunny spells. The day will stay dry as high cloud spreads east during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 4 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Early snow Sunday then bright spells and showery rain Sunday afternoon into Monday morning. The showery rain will turn wintry from Monday afternoon.

Showers or longer spells of rain as well as occasional strong winds are most likely as Atlantic low pressure systems dominate in the vicinity of the UK. Some heavy rain is likely in places, with some snow at times in the north, mainly on high ground. Temperatures varying from around average to cold at times, especially in the north. While unsettled weather is likely to continue, there may be some drier interludes between weather systems. Later in the period, there is a chance that more prolonged drier and settled conditions may begin to develop.
