This Evening and Tonight:

The evening will start off dry with lowering cloud. Outbreaks of rain and snow will soon spread northeast through the evening and overnight with occasionally strong southerly winds. Clearer spells and showers developing from the west towards morning. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

Sunday:

Early snow will soon clear east to leave showery rain with bright spells. Rain turning more persistent for a time through the middle of the day. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Cloudy, frequent wintry showers west Monday. Mostly dry, bright, a few coastal showers in the northwest on Tuesday. Mostly dry Wednesday, chance of showers in the west.

Some heavy rain is likely in places, with some snow probable at times, mainly on high ground in the north. Temperatures varying from around or a little above average, especially in the south, to cold at times, especially in the north. While unsettled weather is likely to dominate, there will be some drier interludes between weather systems. Later in the period, there is a chance that more prolonged drier and settled conditions may begin to develop.
