A rather cloudy start with perhaps a few spots of rain across Caithness, but otherwise a bright day with some good spells of sunshine, although scattered showers are expected to develop for the afternoon. Mainly light winds. Maximum temperature 15 °C.
Tonight:
Some late sunny spells with any remaining showers soon dying out. Then a dry night with clear spells, although northern and eastern coasts become cloudy towards dawn. Minimum temperature 2 °C.
Wednesday:
Early cloud across northern and eastern coasts breaking up through the morning, otherwise another bright day with sunny spells and a few showers. Mainly light easterly or northeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
North and east cloudy with patchy rain Thursday, elsewhere dry with bright. Occasionally heavy rain spreading east Friday, with strengthening southeasterly winds, clearing to showers Saturday, but more rain later.
